Groundskeeper/Animal Attendant Fulltime
Phillip Island Wildlife Park (Cowes)

Hours are between 9am-5.30pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.

Seeking a self-motivated keeper to join our team. The successful applicant will have knowledge of Australian fauna & experience working with venomous reptiles. Those with personal bird keeping experience who are eager to learn regardless of youth are also encouraged to apply.

Must have farm or similar experience & be able to demonstrate competent & safe use of chainsaw & brushcutter.

Duties vary daily & involve general maintenance, raking, cleaning, mulching, unloading deliveries, animal feed preparation (meat/fruit/grain), animal feeding, basic carpentry/plumbing, mowing etc.

Position involves working outside in all weather & heavy lifting, so requires physical fitness. Fast paced & hands on environment, suited to someone who enjoys being busy & outdoors.

Experience with weed/pest control, fencing & tractor operation desirable but not essential.

Clean & tidy personal presentation is a key criteria.

Current drivers licence & reliable transport required. Seeking applicants that wish to gain stable long term employment.

Availability on weekends/public holidays is absolutely essential, so please do not apply if this doesn’t suit.
